Project:Troop Dogs’ purpose is to send care packages to the military war dog (MWD) teams overseas.
There are an estimate 2700 war dog teams in the military and about 700are in the Middle East. These amazing dogs are trained for patrol, search, explosive detection and apprehension.We first learned of these Troop Dogs and their handlers from Ron Aiello, president of the US War Dog Association. The care packages we send contain needed items for both the handler and the dog. We will continue to send care packages as long as they are requested.
