Boots are needed.

June 18, 2011

Hi Susan and PTD,

I’m actually emailing to request an item if I may.   J   The Kennel Master was talking to me today about how the dogs can no longer train during the day because the ground/sand is too hot in the training area. They said they have tried the boots the Army gave them, but they are poor quality and are more of a distraction. I offered to ask you if you might be able to get a few pairs of the ones they use back in the States.

Here is a link:  http://www.ems.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3665364#productDescription

That would be awesome, but it’s not a problem if you can’t.
Hope all is well and thanks so much again for all that you do!

Kongs and Furminators requested.

May 22, 2011

Dear Troop Dogs,

First off, I want to thank you.     Not only are the Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen important, but so are the four-legged heroes that protect us.   I’ve seen your program in action, and it’s a wonderful thing!

I am an Animal Care Specialist, and my main duty is to care for the Military Working Dogs. I am currently deployed to Qatar in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and I work at 2 different bases. 1 of the bases gets packages from you. However, the base that I am at the majority of the time does not receive any.   So, for the sake of the Handlers and their Partners, I’d like to request some packages here.

Some things that are big hits are Kongs and toys that are hard to tear apart. (Preferably no ropes)
Yummy treats.
And brushes! (The rake kind or furminators would be AMAZING!)
A set of doggles.

We would really appreciate anything! Thanks again for your amazing program!

Thank you!

12 MWD dogs in need.

May 17, 2011

We could use the 12 dog cots and pads for our dogs. The dogs are having to sleep on concrete floors that are not the best of shape. Anything you can provide us will be of great help and greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support of the health and well being ofthe military working dogs.   Feel free to email me if you have any questions or just want to say hi.

Request for MWD team having a hard time.

May 14, 2011
First off. I would like to thank you for your support to our brethern. You and US War Dogs have supported me on 2 different deployments and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am KM at Elmendorf AFB aka (JBER). I have 4 teams down range right now.

I put SSgt John W’s address down below because he has been having a hell of a time and my BEST handler and team. He has been there (Afgan) a week and already 3 fire fights and a close call on a IED. If you could support him and our fellow handlers down range  at his location that would be Awesome. Next, thanks for the Awesome website and all the work you do supporting our working dogs. I used it in my NCOA speech. You have been a tremendous supporter and advocate for our MWD’s.
Thank you for your service and support.

Thanks, TSgt Patrick S.

Request for amazing dogs.

May 14, 2011

Good Morning,
My name is SSgt Steven N., I am an Air Force handler deployed to FOB Shank Afghanistan. I am currently here with 4 other dog teams and I was wanting to sign us up for a care package. Our dogs are some of the toughest ones I have ever met. They are constantly out there taking the fight to the enemy and never saying no. It is truly inspiring to watch the heart that these dogs have. Below is my address…thank you for your tireless support of Military Working Dogs all over the world.
Thank you again
Respectfully,
SSgt Steven

14 MWD teams need support.

April 17, 2011

I am currently deployed to Qatar.  I am supporting 14 dog teams here and the availability of items are scarce.  Everyday items, treats, and anything that would be relevant to my handlers or k-9’s would be great.  Thanks in advance for your support and thanks for everything that you do.
